Simulation-Based Development of IoT Applications with Multi-Agent Technology - Current Problems and Future Research Directions

There are few paradigms that gained more publicity over the last year than the Internet of Things, or the IoT. Despite its popularity, there are currently no approaches that directly address the simulation of IoT environments or the simulation-based engineering of those. Based on our experiences, we argue that agent frameworks are a potential solution for both. The aim of this work is to present a list of current problems that have to be solved in order to make agent frameworks an even better-fitting approach for the engineering of IoT solutions - and to make the IoT a great success. | ||
